Employee 360

With the launch of Release 12 last year, the new 'Employee 360' option is available in the 'Directory' feature. Users can search for other people in the system and get a glimpse of their information. The amount of data that is made visible is based on the level of access and based on configuration, some of which we will look at today.

Let's look at the sections one by one:

Cover image is the background shown
Personalization can be done to load a default one for the whole site
·     Employees can upload their own images, their maturity is to be considered

·     Dimensions are not restricted, can be cropped
·     PNG, GIF, JPEG
·     No size limit
·     Can be loaded in bulk
·     Aspect ratio of 6:1, max width of 1800px and height of 300px
Name shows the employee ‘Display Name’
Manage Person Name Formats
Manager Person Name Styles
Different countries follow different name formats
Local Time shows the time based on the preference set by the employee
Set Preferences
Location shows the city and state of the employee’s assignment
Manage Locations
Job
Manage Jobs
Person Number, shows the unique number of the employee
This information can be considered as sensitive
Hire Date
This information can be considered as sensitive
The data shown is the latest hire date (So the date shown for global transfers is not the original hire date)

This does not sync with any other system

Social Networks allows the employee to save their social profiles
Companies often restrict access of social networks and the same policy might apply

Representatives show the various AORs (Area of Responsibility) applicable for the employee
Manage Areas of Responsibility
AOR can be defined for a variety of purposes such as approvals, defining points of contact for various departments, etc. 



Allow User Control:
This allows users to choose whether they want to display the part of the portrait or not.

Hide for Manager
This feature allows to control the visibility for managers
